Fatal Distraction - Diane Capri This was a fast-paced, suspenseful thriller that kept me engrossed start to finish. I was immediately pulled into the story and literally didn’t want to stop reading. Although the identity of the killer is revealed early in the book, it does not detract from the overall plot. It was an interesting strategy and it worked very well.

What I truly loved about this book were the characters. The plot centers around two strong, intelligent women. Jess Kimball is an investigative journalist on a crusade for victims rights. Governor Helen Sullivan has strong moral values and a belief in the law. I particularly enjoyed the respect these two women had for each other and how well they worked together.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good thriller with plenty of twists. This was by no means a who-done-it but a very engaging tale to say the least. It is a most worthy read.
